Leagues Objectives

  1. Provide players and goalies from any club with fun, balanced, intense, competitive hockey games for all levels, from newcomer to state level.
  2. Increase puck touches and shots on goal to further develop the participant’s game sense, skills, and team play.
  3. Provide an opportunity for a parent or new coach wanting to learn how to coach a team/bench.
  4. Provide existing coaches and officials from any club with opportunities to mentor new coaches and green jerseys.

WATERMELON LEAGUE

for 7U to 11U – Perfect for Newcomers, Starters, and
Intermediate levels

On Wednesday Oct 15th to Dec 10th 2025 (9 weeks)

  • 3vs3 Cross-Ice – Download Special 2 page Quick Rules
  • Play at 5.30 to 6.30 pm
  • Full ice hockey gear is required
  • 1 min shifts – No stoppage of play
  • Changes on the horn every minute
  • Balanced teams
  • 3 x 18 min games per week per team
  • 4 Teams of Max 10 players each
  • All teams play finals in week 9
  • Players register individually, and we make even teams, and loan you a jersey.
  • Goalie rotation each game
  • $350 per Player
  • +$50 Refundable Jersey Deposit

STRAWBERRY LEAGUE

for Women 13yo to Adults

On Thursday Oct 16th to Dec 11th 2025 (9 weeks)

  • Play at 8.40 to 9.40 pm
  • 5 vs 5 Full-Ice – IIHF Rules
  • 3 x 18 Minutes Periods
  • Full ice hockey gear is required
  • Balanced teams
  • 3 teams round-robin
  • Team min 7 games + 3 byes + Finals
  • Week 8 Semi-Final 2 v 3
  • Week 9 Grand-Final 1 vs WSF
  • Players register individually, and we make even teams, and loan you a jersey.
  • $250 per Player – Half for Goalies
  • +$50 Refundable Jersey Deposit

PINEAPPLE LEAGUE – Junior Silver Division

for 12U to 15U New & Intermediate level

On Wednesday Oct 15th to Dec 10th 2025 (9 weeks)

  • 3 vs 3 Full-Ice
  • Intense games with no stoppage of play, change on the fly only.
  • 2 x 15min Games each week per team, played near each other.
  • Play between 6.45 and 8.45 pm
  • Full ice hockey gear is required
  • With offside but no Icing rule
  • All penalties are served as penalty shots
  • Balanced teams
  • 4 Team round-robin
  • Teams of 6-9 players + 1 Goalie
  • Great for Goalies too, (Lots of shots, play with the puck more and collect assists!)
  • All teams play finals on week 9
  • Players register individually, and we make even teams, and loan you a jersey.
  • $250 per Player – Half for Goalies
  • +$50 Refundable Jersey Deposit

PINEAPPLE LEAGUE – Junior Gold Division

for 12U to 15U Experienced and State-level

On Wednesday Oct 15th to Dec 10th 2025 (9 weeks)

  • 2 x 15min Games each week per team, played near each other.

  • 4 Team round-robin
  • Teams of 6-9 players + 1 Goalie

  • Submit your team and use your jerseys
  • Junior Gold teams
  • must have a certified coach.
  • $1850 per Team

Once you submit your team and pay the team fee, you’ll need to add/invite all your players and goalie. For this, you’ll need their full names and ESD emails.
Then, your players will receive an invitation from ESD. Once they accept, you are all done.


PINEAPPLE LEAGUE – Senior Tin Division

for 17U to Adults – D3 & D4 level

On Wednesday Oct 15th to Dec 10th 2025 (9 weeks)

PINEAPPLE LEAGUE – Senior Platinum Division

for 17U to Adults – ECSL, D1 & D2 level

All participants must be registered with IHA/IHNSW

  1. Players/ Goalies must be registered players with a club or hold a development junior membership. Registration is done through Esportdesk Portal.
  2. Coaches must hold at a minimum a Working with Children Check (WWCC) and a Non-playing official (NPO) membership.
  3. On-ice Officials must be registered IHA/IHNSW officials
  4. Off-ice officials must at least hold an NPO membership.
  5. All participants, including parents, are bound by the respective codes of conduct of IHA and IHNSW, which can be found with your IHA/IHNSW club membership.
  6. All games are played at Ice Zoo.
  7. Junior Gold Division must have an accredited coach on the bench.
  8. If senior teams have U17 players on their roster, they must have an accredited non-playing coach on the bench.

Player and Goalie Selections

All players are subject to the league selection committee before they are confirmed in a team.  This ensures the teams have the right balance and to be a good even competition that maximises player development. 

All players and goalies must pay the fee to the Ice Zoo Hockey Club to confirm their registration. First paid, first in basis.

If players are deemed inadequate for the league’s balance or were just too late to register, a full refund of the league fees will be given.

The league’s selections committee reserves the right to refuse participation at any time for anyone who breaches their code of conduct or risks the safety of anyone involved. No refund would be given for players/parents misbehaving in this case.

Officials’ Payment

A $15 per hour travel allowance for on-ice officials and a timekeeper for juniors.
$25 for Senior on-ice Officials.
Paid Monthly – Once in Nov and final at the end of the season in Dec.
