Off-Season Program Updated

Dear Parents and players

We are happy to give you information about Ice Zoo Hockey Club’s Off-Season Program.

This will be a fun, 10 week program consisting of Skills, Fun Zones and Cross ice games on Wednesday nights. There will also be a parent vs children game during one of the weeks.

The prepaid price is $180 for Ice Zoo Hockey Club Members or $22 pay-as-you-go. New players are welcome but must register with Ice Hockey Australia and Ice Hockey NSW as development players. Players from other clubs are welcome by application. The cost for other club players will be $200 or $22 per session. Full ice hockey gear is required.

The first week will be Wednesday 26th September. Then there will be a two week break for the school holidays. This means the second week will be 17th October and we be weekly until 12th December.

At this stage we have 1 1/2 hours of ice. If there are not enough registrations to cover this cost, it may drop back to 1 hour.

1 1/2 hours will enable a flexible start and finish time for players who can’t quite get to the rink by 6.30pm and for those younger players who need to leave before 8pm.

If you have any questions please email.

  1. Hello Megan
My grandson Jude Drew would like to join a ice hockey team and practice he is in year 7 and chosen ice skating for his sport at school for half hour every week and I take him every weekend for one or two sessions of one and half hours it is the only sport he is interested in. Would he be able to join a club. Thanks Lyn Drew

    1. Hi Lyn

The season is due to start next weekend. Depending on Jude’s age he would be able to register as a development player and then upgrade to a full player when the coaches approve him as being ready to play.

For Jude’s rough age level, training is on each Wednesday night from 7pm-8pm. In order to train on the ice, Jude would need full gear and to be registered. However, before doing so, you are more than welcome to bring him along to chat to any of the coaching staff and managers to get the full details of what is required.

      Cheers

    2. Hi Lyn,

Just following up in case Jude is still keen to play and looking for a club. We have a development session on Sunday at 0830 starting from this weekend and our club open night is Feb 5th and 12th. Its $20 for both the development and the open skate. See the website for more details.

      Regards
